Yo, dawg, I heard you like trainers so we put a trainer in your trainer so you can save money when you save money
Remember back in the day, you’d buy your 22LR pistol so that you could practice your hand-gunning a bit more cost effectively. Well, now that 22LR is so expensive, there’s a laser trainer for your trainer:
LaserLyte®, innovators in firearms laser technologies, announces the new LT-LR Laser Trainer for .22 caliber firearms. LaserLyte® listened to their customers and fans and developed their latest laser trainer to accommodate the most popular firearms caliber on the market today; the .22 caliber. This new laser trainer fits on all .22 caliber weapons by mounting in the barrel and a sound activated switch shows the bullet’s impact with a laser dot. Every time the firearm’s hammer or striker fires, the small laser dot will flash for 100 milliseconds, simulating bullet impact.

Gander Mountain here in town gets in about 50,000 rounds of 22LR per week. That would be 100 boxes of 500 bulk packed Rem Golden Bullets or Federal Crudmaker, not anything special.
There are lines out the door waiting for it on the days it arrives, as there is apparently some subscription service that text-alerts those in the know about when it is arriving. The 50k rounds are gone within minutes of arrival.
And bulk 9mm Blazer now costs about $0.40 per round there.
This is one way to end shooting in the US – by elimination of the ammo supply at anything approaching a reasonable cost.
