The PF9 story is nice, but seems to be missing the point. If it’s the first shot of the day, why does the slide lock back on a full magazine, unless the magazine isn’t presenting a new bullet? And if you reload with a full magazine and rack on a chamber with a stuck case you’re get a jammed first bullet, unless the magazine isn’t fully moving the rounds up and the slide runs over the first round. So the rounds would have to be so sticky that they both stick in the magazine and the chamber. That must have been one hot day, or a magazine in the dirt and used without cleaning.
