If the big distributors would charge what the on-line companies charge, .22 would be available. It still only costs CCI or Remington a few bucks to make 100 rounds of .22 and the big box stores still sell it for the old price of $7-$9 a box of 100 CCI for example. At that price, it disappears off the shelf. The big box sellers need to raise the price to meet market prices seen on-line and that’s the only way it will stay on the shelves because at $8 a box the market is saying that price is too low and I’ll horde it.

And AMMO? When .22 is readily available it will be over. Here in Nashville it isn’t.
