The good news is that the Missouri Legislature is working on fixing that loophole in the State preemption law. It was filibustered in the last minutes of the session, but is likely to pass next year, making all the OC bans in MO void. It would also protect CCW holders, that accidentally show part or all of their firearm, from charges of open display.
