This used to work in Indiana. It was 16 to buy a handgun in Indiana until 1968. Some stores “waived” this requirement with a note from the parents.
My father purchased a pistol with a note from my grandfather when he was 14. The story is the shop keeper looked at the note and said “Oh, I know your dad” and slapped the gun up on the counter.
Has anybody told the gang-bangers in Chicago about this requirement? Quick Rahm, put out some PSAs and posters so those fine, upstanding choir boys don’t accidentally run afoul of this law!
