Briefcase edition. For anyone who carries a briefcase, I ask why?
STI. I love them. But have yet to own one. Mostly because that’s a lot of bling for a gun that’s just a polymer framed 1911. And the one thing 1911 guys say is that polymer sucks. And polymer guys say the 1911 sucks. So, what do you do? But I did love shooting Larry Weeks’ 9mm STI in Reno. I’d consider it like my Para Gunblog 45. A nice shooter but probably not up to having a day job. And, of course, Joe hates his guns. Get an M&P or Glock for srs bsns. Fun guns are, well, fun of course.

STI does make traditional, single stack, steel frame 1911s. My son and I have 4 between us – 2 2011s and 2 1911s – so I guess we’re fans. We’re gonna go to Hell, though, because 3 of those are in 9mm. Nice guns.

Briefcases are for people who like to dress well, and hanging a shoulder strap off a tailored suit looks like ass.

For anyone who carries a briefcase, I ask why?
To protect the eyesight of innocent bystanders from the ugly thing?

Speaking as the owner of said gun. Funny story.
See when you order a pistol Kriss they ship it to you with one of those f-off big rifle cases.
And lugging a 5ft case to the range to carry a sub 2ft gun is silly. So I wanted a case that was smaller.
And said breifcase used to be my laptop case (until I got a smaller & less fragile laptop). As such it was already padded on the inside.
The Kriss just happened to fit perfectly, so why not? And the pockets on the lid were perfectly sized to take three more 30rnd mags to boot.

I can’t see spending over $2K for a handgun when there are so many handguns that will do the same job just as reliably for less than a third of the price.

It wasn’t that expensive when I bought it, and more importantly yes there’s no rational reason for it.
I got it because it’s fun and amuses me and at the time I could afford it.
You want something inexpensive in 45acp that’s a good bang for your buck get a glock 21, they use the exact same mags.

The one advantage I can see is that most people who see it will think it’s a part off of a dishwasher, especially if you slap a white label with a large black arrow and the word UP on the magazine housing.
