I suspect there are confounding factors, and that race isn’t important per se.
I speculate that normalizing the data for (1) sobriety and (2) previous relationship between shooter and shootee, then there would be no race difference.
This reminds me of a joke told to my class by an extremely young & attractive 9th grade teacher.
Why are blondes more fun?
They’re easier to find in the dark.
She would probably get fired for telling it today, but in the 1970s we just laughed and got back to work, having all been woken up on a tired afternoon by her humor.
Relevance to this issue: Who is gonna take longer to target in the dark?
I’ll let myself out – no need to call the PC squad.
The line “Felons justifiably killed by police…” always makes me laugh. We know that there are plenty of homicides by police which are glaringly obvious murders, which the police and courts happily sweep under the carpet of “justifiable”.
Oh, I dunno, there was that SWAT raid a couple of years ago where they knocked (quietly) a couple of times then proceeded to kick the guy’s door in, hit him about 576 times before he even clicked his safety off, and blamed it all on there being a drug dealer somewhere in the same zip code and *gasp* him owning a kevlar frag vest (the nerve of some people). You want examples, we got’em for ya. It must be nice to live in such bliss (you know what they equate that to, right?)

No, she could probably tell it today and most would not complain, but I’m sure some harridan in training would have ratted her out to the man.
There are still some bright lights in the school system. They are harder to find now, but they are there.

Name a few sport. Must be a nervous existence you have with all those murderers circling your house every night. Perhaps Obama will make it better?
