Crank call: Ronald Ritchie should definitely be investigated
John Crawford’s family wants to know why Ritchie’s 911 call doesn’t jive with what actually happened:
Crawford’s father and the family’s attorney said that Ritchie, 24, should be questioned by police over the discrepancy between the footage and his allegation, which he made about 80 seconds before Crawford was shot, and confirmed when asked soon after. Knowingly “making false alarms” is a crime under Ohio law punishable by a fine or jail sentence.
“He was the catalyst, if you will, in the whole sequence of events leading up to my son’s death,” John Crawford Jr told the Guardian. “It was a crank call. He excited the call, and exaggerated the call, and frankly it was just a bunch of lies.”
And they’ve lawyered up.

I believe the cops should be strung up over this too. They’re the ones who actually shot Crawford.

I’d like to see the video footage of Ritchie while he was on the call.

Prank, not crank.

P.M., I’ve read that dispatcher told the police it was an “active shooter” scenario. That means they were to consider it a hot situation with shots fired. If that’s true (and I haven’t worked up the guts to watch/listen to this yet), then I wouldn’t have indicted them either if I had been on the Grand Jury.
John Crawford should do major time for this call. Nothing he had said before he lawyered up made any sense.

Oops, my comments were supposed to be directed to Mariner. Me apologies…
