I never started but

Why I ditched appendix carry

Sometimes, Caleb writes articles where he “discovers” something he could have figured out with five minutes thought. Or at least should have …

Depends on your state. If cops can play gotcha with I-see-your-in-the-belt-holster printing, then you need a more nearly invisible concealed carry option.

Right. The big advantages of AIWB are (1) gun is very accessible, including in a potentially F’ed up close-in situation, and (2) if you stick to small guns, it can be a truly deep concealment method. Bend over & pick something up at the store without worrying about printing.

If you’re willing to accept a small gun (and have excellent gun safety practices), the ability to combine (1) and (2) is a pretty neat trick.

Not for everyone but absolutely has its niche. Which is what Caleb said.

Whenever possible I like to substitute “actual hands on experience” for “5 minutes of thought”, I tend to get better results from actually doing things than just playing pretend in my head.

As far as I’m concerned, there are certain circumstances where it’s appropriate and/or a necessary evil to carry AIWB.

When my choice is between not carrying or carrying AIWB, you can bet my choice will be the latter.

When strongside carry (IWB or OWB) is a practical option, you can bet that I won’t be carrying AIWB.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
