Since Kniferights.org got switchblades decrim’d and knife law preemption in Alaska last year, “metal knuckles” are the only completely prohibited weapon called out in state statute anymore.
The government needs to enact some “common sense” knife laws for all the “assault” knives in kichen drawers because it’s worth it if only one is saved.
As a mountaineer and a sailor, a one-handed knife has always been important to me. Idiot laws that would make me a criminal for carrying an essential safety tool are really obnoxious. Congratulations to TN for increasing the sanity level..:-)

It’s hard to make a reasonable case why the possession of any THING should be illegal.

state lawmakers and knife rights advocates compromised, by making the penalties for knife crimes tougher
Someone finally convinced the dolts that how a knife is used is more important than how you open it.
That must have taken some time…

As a part time farmer, it has been completely stupid that I can carry a handgun, but not a knife with a blade greater than 4 inches.
I need to be able to carry a machete and a Mini 14.
Now I can at least carry a serviceable knife.
