Light blogging today
Or maybe heavy. It’s election night and I’ll be watching results off and on. I may or may not have something to say about them. The only reason I vote in federal elections is because of judges. And if the Rs take control, the press will suddenly be concerned with government accountability again.

Not really. They’ll still be serious about holding Republicans accountable, but that’s not a change.

Also, if the stupid party takes control (and I think they will) some of the more disastrous ideas will be a bit harder to implement.
It’s just too bad the establishment is so… stupid.

Libertarians, despite your best efforts there was a Republican tsunami. You can haz guns. Pot parties with hookers maybe not so much.

Well, at least the Supreme Court will be safe from Obama nominating a “Rubber Stamp” Uber-Liberal Communist if one of the Conservative Justices dies or retires during the rest of his Term.
Remember, our Major Gun Rights Victories have come from The Supremes, NOT the Republitards or the DemaCommies.

Forty-eight states had carry in public, in some form, when Heller was decided, Les. Thirty-eight?, I believe, “shall issue”.
Not to say that I don’t agree with you about judicial appointments. The evil of Roosevelt lived on in Douglas while Nixon was President, and the evil of Carter lives on in Ginzburg and Breyer now (Clinton appointed them to the Supreme Court but Carter had appointed them to the stepping-stone Court of Appeals seats).

Maryland has a GOP Governor and the Dems lost their veto-proof majority in the House of Delegates.
That means Gov. Hogan can hang the veto axe over the Dems with authority. They cannot overturn his vetos.
Commence horse-trading.
