I remember when “hippies” were the “live and let live” type. Guess that’s back when liberals were, well, liberal. Now they want the government hired guns to take our guns…imagine that, they’ve morphed into fascists.
Glad they’re coming to Texas, but why choose the Peoples’ Republic of Travis County?
I’d have gone to San Antonio, only about 80 miles south and with a large military (active and retired) population. San Antonio already has a Toyota factory and access to skilled labor and materials vendors.
Magpul’s HQ will be in an Austin ZIP code, but isn’t inside the Austin city limits. (I live across the street from the building they just bought.). This part of Travis County (like most of it outside Austin) is quite red (GOP congressmen, state senators, state reps, etc.).

Great! Except for choosing the most liberal town in Texas. That might bite them in the rear at some point.

I was thinking the same thing.

Only the corporate HQ is going into Austin. They’ll be fine. Lotsa good restaurants in Austin for corporate lunches.

Maybe whoever buys Colt from its bondholders will move it out of Connecticut to Texas or another Free State.
