A 22 bolt action built into a flute.

The flute was interesting to be sure, but who turned in the .50 BMG? Wow.
.30 – per comments it appears to be an AN/M2 aircraft gun.
And probably someone who didn’t want the rusted-shut crash pickup piece around anymore.
(Or, worse, if it works, a giant felony waiting to happen.)
That’s a fluted barrel. Duh. I’m szure you’ve heard of those.
And two flutes were not grafted together. Instead, the foot joint was removed from its regular position and stuck where the head joint would normally be. The head joint is absent.
I wonder if that thing was a dewat?
Now *do* be careful, 007…” I can hear old Q now. “Let’s not forget l’affaire Rampal. Embouchure, old man.”
