I concur
It’s time to stop calling the efforts of the gun violence prevention movement “gun control.”
You are correct. We should start calling your efforts civil rights prevention or deprivation of rights under color of law.

I’d much prefer to call their efforts “probable cause”. And “Exhibit A” does have a nice ring to it.
“Evil” seems apt, as does “immoral”, although those are perhaps too broad.
There is a more specific description of what they aim to do. Despite the awkward sounding construction “gunowner control” is much more accurate, and puts the focus where they do – on controlling people, not inanimate objects.

I say just call them a blood dance.

Police state salesmanship.
Though I’m partial to “victim disarmament”, or “criminal OSHA”.

To paraphrase:
No one wants to take your guns. You’re just paranoid. All we want is reasonable restrictions to make society safer. Since they are so dangerous, you can’t keep the ones you own. Give them to us, so we don’t have to send SWAT teams to get them.
