Bet the Carbon fibre look will be popular with the competition shooters.
So the recoil spring on the Steyer Pieper is in tension rather than compression?

Nope. There’s a rod that runs through it to a flat plug on the muzzle end. The plug reciprocates, compressing the spring. 🙂
(I’ll take pictures of it stripped sometime for the infrequently-updated other blog.)
