I should have added in the video, but didn’t, that I certainly don’t advocate using this on your fridge – my fridge gave me a decent spot for shooting video. The magnets work well for mounting under a desk or to the side of a desk. If you have a metal bed frame it will work well there and will be hidden with a dust ruffle. You can also epoxy the magnets to a surface and make a permanent mounting location – like in a car where everything is plastic.
Hard drive magnets are stupid strong. I got a couple that were graciously donated by a dead drive mounted strategically for a couple quick access stash guns.

Why not just drill a hole in the aluminum and screw it into a wall? This would go great right over the inside of a closet door or something.
