After a protracted deliberation that spanned two meetings of the Board of Trustees, the Board’s Executive Committee has decided not to adopt a recommendation from the Advisory Committee on Socially Responsible Investing (ACSRI) that the University divest from civilian firearms manufacturers.
Any thing with Socially Responsible X in it is probably bullshit anyway.

Anything that says divest yourself of something that is neither illegal nor morally reprehensible automatically falls into the ITS A BLEEDING HEART FEEL GOOD SCAM!

Well, I divested myself of Phillip Morris because of the tobacco thing, and put it into Ruger, made a shitload with special dividends. My investment guy was impressed. Ruger’s tanked the last few months, but I reckon on it recovering.
