I was amazed when I learned I could not (legally) allow my son to shoot his Red Rider BB gun in our Texas back yard. Being punished for pinging the neighbors’ windows is a rite of passage every youngster should go through.
The potato cannon, legal to use in Texas for pyrotechnic purposes only, had to suffice. Working around government attempts to limit individual freedom can be entertaining.
