Only the police should have guns
WABC NY: A police officer accidentally shot his sergeant after firing at a pit bull inside a Brooklyn apartment building.
And there’s this:
The shot grazed the dog, possibly ricocheted off a wall, and then struck his sergeant in the right foot just below his big toe.
I tend to doubt the round ricocheted off a wall. More likely, the guy wasn’t sure of his target and what was behind it.
And ABC Chicago:
Earlier Wednesday morning, an alarm at the courthouse malfunctioned, forcing an evacuation of the building. The officer was retrieving a gun from a locker it went off.
Just went off all by its own self!

Or just maybe he shot exactly who he wanted to shoot?

Or maybe this is another case where kludgy bullshit (like Glock’s NY trigger kits), and a lack of rangetime, have again clashed at the expense of a bystander.

Why have we, the EMPLOYERS, allowed our EMPLOYEES to rule over us? Our State and U.S. Constitutions relegate them to delegated powers which always come down from the greater to the lesser.

The poor dog. They’ll probably make him wear one of those spaceman cones so he won’t lick it. You may not think so, but I think dogs feel humiliated when they wear those things.

Specially trained and competent.

Where can I get one of these autonomous guns? My guns never go off by themselves. It might be good to leave one at home to defend the family when I am gone as I won’t be there to pull the trigger.
