Holsters
They fail. I, too, am a fan of Kydex. Caleb recommends some holsters.
I’m a fan of Raven Concealment Phantoms and have one for each carry gun.

They fail. After a decade of heavy use. I would wager not everyone is carrying around decade old heavily used kydex holsters.

When your kydex holster is old and busted, you should replace that, too. I thought that was understood.

I’m a Neanderthal I guess since I still prefer leather holsters. Fact is belts and holsters all wear out or break sooner or later. Replace as needed.

Leather is fine. If I were to carry my 1911 tomorrow, it’d go right back in my VM-2.
The point isn’t “Leather! Kydex! Your holster sux! Nuh-uh YOUR holster sux!” The point is: Buy quality shit. Keep an eye on your shit to make sure it hasn’t got all brokedick. If it has, fix your shit. It’s really pretty simple.

MEK from Home Depot will repair Kydex pretty well, if (like me) your Kydex holster has a “weld” failure after warranty expiration. Still going strong two years later.

I like composite holsters. Leather is nicer against the skin, and kydex in my eyes is better at protecting the bang switch.
