Keep control of your gun
Off duty police officer at a playground somehow loses his gun. And a 6 year old found it and fired it. Press and police call it an “accidental disharge”, of course. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Wish they’d listed the brand/model of the holster.
I reiterate: better trained/behaving cops are needed. I’ve had my gun fall out exactly once and I noticed *immediately* because the thing isn’t lightweight. I was also in my own backyard wandering about/sitting/etc to test the new holster…
Pulled the trigger and fired? Must be a glock.
That kid needs a gun safety talk. I know he’s only six but he’s damn lucky.

Know how the progressive movement more or less parachutes in whenever there’s a firearms-related traumatic incident, with crisis news managers, counselors, family sociologists, and follow-up questions?
Eddie Eagle needs a SWAT team in the ready-room. Eddie wins this one, every time.

Looking at the photos it seems the round was fired from inside the slide tube. The gun must have slid a ways before a kid grabbed it. Might have been an unintentional trigger pull (never catch a dropped gun?). Anyway, I bet that kid has some hearing damage after having that thing go off in tube he was in. Sorry to hear it.
Bob Owens is probably muttering something about Glocks and safeties right now…
/sarcasm (in my defense it’s been a long day already, and it’s only 0900)

Good holsters are not hard to find.
