Didn’t think of that
Responding to my post on a good handgun legal in all 57 states, Sebastian reminds me of New Jersey. And, of course, what about that roster of approved guns in Cali?

I don’t think the California gun roster bans possession, just sale. You can own handguns not on the roster. You just can’t sell them or buy them. This wouldn’t be an issue for people just visiting.

Don’t quote me on this but I think Hornady Critical Duty ammo might be legal in NJ.

As a resident of Kalifornia: the roster of “safe” handguns does NOT apply to ownership here. It is only for the sale of handguns.

I was thinking about this while driving today. Why not a similar standard to what applies to automobiles? Even in my state, some counties have wheel taxes and others don’t. My state has no front license plate. As long as I’m legal where my car is registered then I’m not violating other states laws to operate my vehicle. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m not here to say the anti’s are right.
