We suck at our jobs. Give us more money
Well, the TSA sucks at its job:
An internal investigation of the Transportation Security Administration revealed security failures at dozens of the nations busiest airports, where undercover investigators were able to smuggle mock explosives or banned weapons through checkpoints in 95 percent of trials, ABC News has learned.
They will soon exclaim that they need more money to the job right because that’s what bureaucrats do. You know what wouldn’t have a 95% failure rate? Someone doing it for profit instead of unionized employees or Democrats.

Thousands Standing Around doing another bang up job. I work at a major airport and have dealings with these people on a daily basis, management seems to be fairly intelligent, but the front line workers, I believe would have trouble walking and breathing at the same time.

The TSA is doing everything it was designed to do. 100%. Why NOT expand it? Progressives would be crazy to give it up.

Exactly so. It was designed as security theater, not security. And perhaps designed to desensitize. We should be thankful that they are incompetent.

My daughter’s backpack got flagged on X-ray at the airport on Tuesday because it contained shoes. Extra inspection was called in, and going through the bag they found her $3 teeny tiny pocket knife in her toiletries bag. Then they did not even look at the shoes, or anything else in the bag.
Note that they didn’t see the knife on x-ray, they didn’t search the items that caused the extra review, and they didn’t finish the job of inspecting the contents of the bag.
A threefer of fail! She and I walked to our airport gate with her muttering, “96%!”
