They aren’t coming to take our guns. They will have the hired guns to do it ( or attempt to do it) for them. And then they will expect those hired guns to be nice to them. But they should know from history that “what goes around, comes around.”

Hired Guns, the police, are extremely malleable and would have no issues segueing from 3am house raids on suspected drug dealers to suspected gun owners to just an address with reasons unknown.
With the numbers of ‘mistaken’ addresses they are already hitting houses with guns drawn ready to rock-n-roll with absolutely no personal knowledge why they are doing it in the first place.

I was 10 years in the Reserves and National Guard. They want guys like me to take my guns. As if we would go around our own neighborhoods collecting our own guns.

Bram, You did take an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic didn’t you? That being so, any orders to confiscate guns from citizens would be a flagrant and violation of that oath! And Anyone giving such an order would constitute a domestic enemy.

The Police up here would never do it partly because there are no Police – only Placerville and Tahoe have actual “Police” departments, and small ones. Everywhere else there’s only the Sheriff and his Deputies – and he’s a shall-issue guy who takes his oath seriously – which is how I got a CCW in California.
