Wait, what?
When Bernie Sanders mentioned closing the so-called gun show loopholeone of the most widely supported gun-control measures on the left. But theres one problem: the gun show loophole doesnt actually exist.
Common sense, right? Sure. But this came from The Politico.

I’ve bought, perhaps, 3 firearms at gun shows. Each time I’ve completed the same paperwork that I completed in a “brick and mortar” gun shop. It’s my understanding that the so-called loop hole involves transactions between non-FFL holding private individuals.

I would say to ” close the loophole” , Sanders, Clinton and Obama should propose a ” common sense” violation of the First Amendment to ban any gun ads in newspapers which advertise private sales. And they should be asked how ” universal background checks” would be enforced without violating the 4th Amendment which real liberals have always considered sacrosanct–as should like ALL of the Bill of Rights. But then, these supposed liberals have long since morphed into authoritarian leftists who will selectivlely violate any part of the Constitution that opposes their tyrannical agenda.

No one talks about the real loopholes…that darling of the libs “facebook” there are several groups just in my small area that deal in firearms without any paperwork EVER

@Bill Riva,
Facebook in particular may be a darling of libs, but it is in fact just another mode of constitutionally protected communication/speech being used to conduct constitutionally protected commerce/dissemination of a constitutionally protected product/activity.

But anyway, the Federal Government has NO DELEGATED POWER over the so-called ” loopholes” . It may only govern such part of the militia that it EMPLOYS in the service of the United States (Article I, Section 8.15-16). Without its “few and defined” (James Madison) delegated powers, it may do NOTHING!! All laws, court rulings and executive actions that in any way infringe on the right of the people to acquire, possess and carry arms of their choice is borne of an impudent disregard of ” the Supreme Law of the Land” and therefore criminal and tyrannical.

Now, for a little humorous diversion, here’s a compilation of Michael Savage impersonating “commie” Bernie Sanders. Enjoy:

As always, “loophole” means “deliberate facet of the law of which the speaker disapproves”.
