Who is the officer going to assault?
I guess the reporter didn’t get the memo that a self-loading, politically incorrect rifle belongs to the police, it’s a “patrol rifle“: Officer loses assault rifle while changing flat tires

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Only agents of the government should have guns, right?

If I pull anything I owned worth $100 or more out of my trunk, I’d put it in the front seat and lock the door for safekeeping until I was finished.
If the replacement cost comes out of his personal pocket, that will be the last time anyone in that department loses a rifle.

You ask: “Who is the officer going to assault?”
Anyone he dam well pleases. And he won’t be touched for it. Just like Lake County Deputy Richard Sylvester, who murdered Andrew Lee Scott in his own home at 1:30 in the morning. Or Palm Beach Gardens Officer Officer Nouman K. Raja who murdered Corey Jones in cold blood. Or the Pima County SWAT Team who murdered Jose Gurena. Or the LVMPD swill who murdered Erik Scott.
The stench is overwhelming. And it smells like pig.

Actually, Uncle, they got this right. Once it was stolen (and no longer under state control) it ceased to be a patrol rifle and became a “dangerous weapon of war on the streets of our cities.”

Bet he was spinning the wheels on the cruiser and blew two tires at once. Have seen it happen. You wouldn’t believe how these guys mistreat their cars.
