Meanwhile, rumors of the NRA’s decline are exaggerated.
Two shot re-enacting Tombstone shoot out because someone forgot to put blanks in their gun.
First, CNN admits that the political power of the NRA comes from people. Individuals. Members. You know, grassroots. And not as the arm of the gun lobby:
A CNNMoney analysis of federal campaign finance records shows that much of this money comes from everyday Americans. And these contributions, which the NRA uses to keep pro-gun lawmakers in office, are on the rise.
Some political funding comes from big corporations, many within the gun industry, which donate millions to the NRA. But companies are barred from donating to the NRAs political action committee, which the agency uses to fill campaign coffers, run ads and send out mailers for and against candidates.
On the anti-gun lobby, they say that they need money because they lack people.
Over at Reason.com, a discussion of their plans against him.
My own theory of why they fear him is, maybe, a bit more convoluted. The last two elections, McCain and Romney proved that without the base, you can’t win the election. If Trump were to win, it would prove that you could win without the establishment. And that’s the real fear there.
Some imbecile thinks that the NRA is waning in power and that the Brady Campaign Desperate To Raise Money is rising. He’s clearly not paying attention.
Meanwhile, speculation that the NRA will fall because of immigration. I live in an area with a lot of immigrants and resident workers (mostly Japanese and Mexican). Do you know what they all do when they get here? They shoot guns and buy guns.
Near The City (My The City), Advanced Munitions, maker of HPR Ammunition, will open a $553M facility that employees 600 or so people.
News has already hit the shooting community. First Beretta, and now another in the firearms biz.
Heard the CEO on the radio today saying that they came here for the NRA convention and loved Tennessee. They were first going to move to Texas.
The SEC may not force those under investigation to turn over their phone passwords.
I concur, it’s not much of a surprise given the circuit’s past decisions on gun control (hint, they like it).
Well, you probably knew that. But seriously?
I think I’m going to set up a GoFundMe page to buy Sanders one semester of Econ 101.
Feds want to register drones and drone users.
And the drone defender, gently sets drones on the ground.
From Tom. Interesting to me how much time improved with the big dot sights. I’ve never been a huge fan, since you can install a laser and get the same result. And still have access to standard sights if you need that level of accuracy at greater ranges. Different strokes.
That’s a lot of testing. He tested 117 handgun loads with high speed camera footage. Impressive. Interesting things to me:
Clothing “clogged” some hollow points.
All the 9mm ammo seemed to be most consistent. The other calibers penetration was all over the place. I may switch to the 147g golden sabers.
Anyway, after many, many different knives, I’ve settled on the Spyderco with the Emerson Wave. Here they are. One Endura for left handed carry, one Endura for right handed carry, and one Delica for right handed carry:
Why do I like the Wave? Because it comes out wicked fast:
A list of American’s top fears. Unsurprisingly, government is numero uno. Gun control takes 11th place.
Causing all of NYC’s crime and all that. Also, if he’s buying handguns out of state, that’s illegal.
Does headache medicine cause headaches:
By analogy with all other adjectives modifying nouns, assault rifles would be used to stop assaults.
Confiscation seems to be OK among them, notably Hillary.
VA governor takes executive action on gun control. The list looks silly. You don’t already trace crime guns or prosecute gun crimes?
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
