I’ve purchased one firearm via the Internet, but I was required to take delivery through an FFL-holder and I completed all paperwork exactly according to Federal law.
Like the mythical Gun Show loophole, there is no Internet gun purchase loophole.
One major “loophole” is that government officials and agents are UNLAWFULLY EXEMPTED from gun laws. The other even bigger one is that the Federal Government has NO delegated powers in the Constitution for any gun laws that apply to the States and especially, the People, but only for those it EMPLOYS. (Article I, Section 8.16)
The Bill of Rights has large loopholes which we the people have DECLARED inviolable!!
The only way to get a firearm delivered directly to you without having a class 3 ffl for c&r or going through a class 1 ffl that I know of are pre 1898 firearms.
I remember seeing a couple of pre 1898 Nagant m1895 revolvers on gunbroker years ago.
Even so there isn’t exactly a crime wave going on with 117+ year old firearms.

Well, I don’t know how it works, but it’s clearly wrong and needs to be eliminated.

NO GUN LAWS. That would put the law-abiding on a par with the criminals who respect no gun laws. You’re not in favor of the criminals, are you?

And Dave, very few crimes are committed with vintage Peacemaker revolvers. If you can afford one of those, you don’t rob many liquor stores.

I’ve never bought from the CMP – do they ship to your house?
