Cowboys and terrorists
Police doing their job. Friendly dog runs out and does friendly dog stuff. Cop shoots at friendly dog at “point blank range” and misses. Seriously, he should be fired for multiple reasons. And we don’t know the officers name because “journalism”.
Pretty dry but interesting:
A placeholder to remember this excellent recipe. Boil a couple of pounds of new or red potatoes, with a dash of salt, until tender. Remove them from the water and let cool. While cooling, place some spinach and diced onions in a bowl and stir. Once the potatoes are cool, halve them and put them on the grill for about 15 minutes. While they’re still hot from grilling, add them to the spinach and onion mix. The heated potatoes will wilt the spinach just enough.
The best part is the dressing. Combine the following ingredients in a salad dressing shaker:
1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
Teaspoon of garlic powder
Teaspoon of lemon juice
Tablespoon of mustard
Shake it up and drizzle onto the salad until it’s all lightly coated. Goes well with a flank:
A police officer says that he was denied treatment at walk in clinic because he was carrying a gun. And had guns pointed at him:
Several Mansfield Police Department officers told him to come out slowly with his hands up. More than one of them were pointing their firearm at him, he said.
Liggett said he was placed in handcuffs while police verified his identity as an auxiliary officer, which took only minutes. He was carrying his badge and ID in his wallet.
Heavy barrel performance in a lighter package:
The FULCRUM’s increased diameter produces a barrel that is stiffer than our mid-weight barrels and has more surface area, both as a result of the larger diameter and the fluting. The increase in surface area produces better heat dissipation and a faster rate of cooling. The underlying increase in thermal mass also means FULCRUMs are less sensitive to fluctuations in temperature, which translates to more consistent shooting under all conditions.
The increase in diameter also pushes more mass towards the front of the FULCRUM barrel, which improves the harmonics and increases the overall stability and balance of the shooting platform. The extra mass decreases felt recoil, and its distribution increases the moment of inertia, which reduces angular acceleration for a smooth shot that helps you stay on target.
The preceding are all the reasons why standard heavy barrels shoot so well. The beauty of the FULCRUM is that you get all that performance from a barrel that weighs far less.
ILA:
Earlier this week, the Brady Center’s Legal Action Project attorneys Jonathan Lowy and Alla Lefkowitz withdrew from a Wisconsin lawsuit after inadmissible evidence was published on Brady’s website in violation of Wisconsin’s rules of professional conduct concerning trial publicity.

Not a Bubba. Also, when did gun pics start requiring something being placed in the trigger guard? I see that a lot now.
It’s good to dance with who brung ya:
Legislation that would allow handgun-carry permit holders to be armed in all of the state’s public parks is headed to the governor for his consideration.
We’ve got to make sure we have public safety, but on the other hand we have to protect people’s rights both as sportsmen and hunters and for self protection too, find the right balance
No, we don’t. My rights aren’t subject to your vague notion of public safety. Also, he doesn’t dig the marijuana.
TN house passes bill to make The Bible the official state book.
Update: Well, that was fast: Senate kills bill to make Bible official Tennessee book. Good.
But I like the sentiment of suing ATF for financial loss because of wait times for NFA. What needs to happen is congress should pass a law that requires approval in some number of days. Of course, since ATF basically does a glorified NICS check, it should happen same day.
Looks like it happened again. This time, thankfully, the gun toter prevailed.
I would say “awkward” characterizes her entire campaign launch. That, and fake.
I think we’re winning but not certain we’ve won yet:
They went from being non lethal (though not entirely) options to compliance tools. A police officer was going to Tase a subdued subject except he drew his gun instead and shot the man. And his firearms training may have been falsified.
Mentioned I wanted to move the sights on the M&P CORE. Asked a local friend if he knew anyone who did that and he did. He met me at Southern Precision Tooling and I spoke with the guys there about what to do. Then, my friend mentioned their coming line of suppressors. I didn’t realize a manufacturer of quality suppressors was less than a mile from one of my job sites. The suppressor got its name from a local who heard it and said that’s about as loud as a church mouse’s fart. Here it is:
It’s heavier than my Gemtech but it’s not heavy. It doesn’t affect rifle weight at all and on a handgun, it’s no different than any other suppresor. But holding it in your hand, you know it’s heavier. Stainless steel construction with aluminum baffles.
Unlike most other 22LR suppressors, this one can be disassembled for cleaning.
Here’s the logo:
And here’s a video I took of them shooting it:
That thing was quiet! Production in a month or two and MSRP of around $275.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
