Carrying without a permit
In TN, a bill allowing that fails in the house.
So, by now, I’m sure you’ve heard of her email shenanigans. Her claim is that she wanted one device for convenience, after admitting she had multiple devices. She’s lying. But she also thinks that (or thinks you think that) one device has only one email. I have four email addresses (personal, for the blog, a professional one and a spam trap) and I can get to everyone of them from any device I own.
She also claims to have never used her email for secret or top secret correspondence. This is either a lie or she wasn’t doing her job.
Personally, I think this hit on her is coming from her own party. If it came from Republicans, it’d be a blurb on page A-3 and disappeared. Someone on her own team doesn’t seem to like her very much. If she’s unpresidented, then who will the Ds run?
Don’t rush gun bills before NRA meeting in Nashville
Also, he’s opposing 11 of the 27 pro gun bills. Of note, to me, are:
Opposition to lifetime permits and exempting permit holders from background checks. The state needs tax money, yo.
Opposition to removing prohibition of guns in schools and parks. Because those permit holders who don’t gun people down at Target will suddenly start shooting at a a school.
Except that whole part about how you can’t buy the part that’s actually a gun ad makes the gun work. Some pants shitting hysterics over at gizmodo.

Also, I’ve gotten word from Rivrdog that the violent loon has been arrested.
There went the cylinder:
In light of recent events and several comments by regular readers going to the spam folder, avoid using the word socialism, for some reason.
Removing prohibitions in parks. And the narrative of the local press is that there is an onslaught of gun bills, so it’s gun week. But, you know, the year of guns was a few years back.

Well, for now:
Under intense pressure from majorities in the House and Senate, the National Rifle Association’s huge membership, the Obama administration has abruptly changed course and is rescinding its push to ban popular and cheap ammo used by AR-15 owners.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said 80,000 comments rolled in, many against the proposal to ban the 5.56 M855 “green tip” ammo. The NRA and the other groups still plan to flood ATF mailboxes with opposition letters just to make sure they go through with their withdrawal.
Maybe the congress critters threatened funding. Good. But keep an eye out. They’ll try to sneak it in at some point.
I’m guessing it’s premeiring at the NRA Annual Meeting since they’re teasing a new spring on their facebook page.
The firearms collector was unloading a cannon from the tray of his ute when it accidentally discharged and fatally struck him at his home in Mahuta, west of Dargaville, yesterday.
Yikes.
Apparently, Giffords’ hubby went to buy a gun to show how easy it was and didn’t pass a background check. So, we need more background checks.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
