Man sees another man carrying a gun at Wal-Mart. And tackles him:
A Lithia man has been charged after he tackled another man Tuesday who had a handgun in a holster — and a permit to carry — at a Wal-Mart.
About 11:58 a.m., deputies responded to the store at 11110 Causeway Blvd. where Clarence Daniels had been taken to the ground by Michael Foster, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Foster had seen Daniels getting out of his vehicle in the lot with handgun, under his coat and in a holster. Foster followed him into the store and then attacked the Daniels, the sheriff’s office said.
The report said Foster did not call 911 until he tackled Daniels.
Also, some situational awareness may be in order:
Once inside the store, Foster approached Daniels from behind, placed him in chokehold and took him down against his will and without permission. A brief struggle ensued.
Police are charging the one who did the actual assaulting and battering. Good.

I thought that was a Republican thing but no. Operation Choke Point caught on tape
A holster secured by rare earth magnets. Those things keep popping up. I’m not sure how rare they are.
Designed specifically for Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) units, the SEAGle combines the legendary firepower of the Desert Eagle in .50 AE with the reputation for quality and reliability of SIG SAUER® firearms.
Remember that police man who shot himself because the clerk handed him a loaded gun and the police man didn’t follow safety rules so he’s suing the gun shop? Well, there’s video.
Some legal type guy does too.
Let’s get the obvious out of the way, it’s stupid. Saying that using it in a way other than intended “redesigns” is asinine. If I use the magazine well as a forward grip, I’m not redesigning it. Also, US Code defines a handgun:
(29) The term “handgun” means—
(A) a firearm which has a short stock and is designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand;
I guess if you’re using two hands to shoot (like you fucking should), you’ve just redesigned your Glock.
My guess is what really happened is the first letter was approved without appropriate supervision; or they didn’t realize the can of worms they were opening.
As for what to do, I’m keeping mine as a collectors item. I imagine there probably won’t be many more made.
As for what to do legally, I dunno. Perhaps a class action suit against ATF for relying on their initial letter?
Thoughts?
Illinois passed licensed carry and everyone predicted blood in the streets. But, as is always the case, nothing happened.
Pants shitting hysterics over one of their fairy tale, government moochers having guards armed with Tasers and guns.
H.R. 131 would ensure the law has the effect Congress intended when it passed more than 25 years ago. Specifically, the legislation would make clear that transportation of both firearms and ammunition is federally protected, as well as expand the protections afforded to travelers to include “staying in temporary lodging overnight, stopping for food, fuel, vehicle maintenance, an emergency, medical treatment, and any other activity incidental” to the trip. Additionally, the bill would place the burden of proof clearly on the state to show that the traveler failed to comply with the law.
Good. But a few states completely disregard current law. They’ll disregard this one too.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
