Gun Porn
Remember when if you liked your plan, you could keep it. And you could keep your doctor too. Except that I couldn’t. Nor could most people, apparently. Well, Friday, I received a 14 page questionnaire from my tax guy regarding health care coverage for 2014.
I wonder what this will cost me.
Once again rescinding a prior ruling, ATF says shouldering a brace redesigns something and is a no no
Update: The market has spoken.
Is that a SB-15 pistol with a VFG on it? ATF says it’s a no go despite a couple of courts ruling against them.
Zero Carry. No trigger guard and stick something up the barrel, no problem.
During the Charlie Hebdo attack, gunmen forced a woman to open the door. They went in and shot up the lobby. Then went to an editorial meeting where, over the course of five to ten minutes, they executed people. As an interesting aside, they first went to the wrong business. Details here.
So, if one were to recreate what happened, they’d probably do something based on what happened. Or, instead, you could get some firearms trainers who know how to handle simunitions, let them strap on their gear and tell them to go practice a room-clearing exercise on random people you got to volunteer off the street to play CCW holder. Surprisingly, the firearms trainers manage to outperform the random people from the street.
Then, you could compound the error by inviting local media. Then, you get picked up by all the shitty, sensationalized listicle sites and are all over social media. And, boom, you got self-promotion. And since, based on my unscientific study of reviewing what stupid shit people put on facebook and twitter, roughly 95% of the population gets their news from shitty, sensationalized listicle sites, that was real helpful, guys.
I mean, I guess they could have had the random people on the street toting the terrorist rifles and peopled the room with Todd Jarrett, Jerry Miculek and Dave Sevigny to sway it the other way.
This was a stupid thing to do. And gave the other side simunition for years.
So, the TX house is installing panic buttons because open carriers showed their butts there.
Well, if the .gov can’t ban guns, they’ll just pressure banks not to do business with gun companies.
WBKO:
A former Glasgow police officer is suing a Barren County gun store after being handed a loaded gun from under the counter and accidentally shooting his finger off.
According to a civil lawsuit filed Friday, former Glasgow police officer Darrell Smith went into Barren Outdoors back in March and asked to see a .380 caliber handgun.
He then held the gun after receiving it from under the counter. Smith began to examine the gun and then cocked it. The gun was actually loaded and fired, shooting off part of Smith’s index finger.
And, before squeezing the trigger, you probably should have made certain it was unloaded.
Here’s a suppressor with picatinny rails on it. Odd. Would the addition of a forward grip make the firearm or the suppressor an AOW? Quick, ask the ATF.
New from Magpul, a 60 rounder:
Texas is pretty pro-gun and is moving further that way. Keep that in focus and so something productive. Not this..
Remember when Obama said that was a bumper sticker and not a good policy? He, of course, was wrong. But it is funny to see the mental gymnastics involved in giving him credit for the decline in prices, which happened in spite of his policies.
This time, parents are suing the school:
The suit claims the school’s lockdown and evacuation plan was practiced, but never implemented on the day of the shooting, which “resulted in the death of 20 students.” The suit also alleges the school failed to train a substitute teacher about the lockdown procedure and didn’t give her a key that would have allowed her to lock the classroom once she heard gunshots being fired on the morning of Dec. 14, 2012.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
