Wonder how many OTHER weapons were provided by similar programs run out of OTHER BATFE Field Divisions? F&F belonged to Phoenix. However, BATFE Agent Hope McAllister on an audio recording made surreptitiously by one of the FFLs she ordered to sell to straw buyers (with the recording released by the BATFE IG) admits that there were THREE guns found at the scene of Agent Terry’s murder, and that while two of them were sold by the FFL who did the recording, the third was sold in Dallas. Now I’m not sure how familiar you are with US geography, but Dallas is not in the area of responsibility for BATFE’s Phoenix Field Division. It is, however, on the front doorstep of their Dallas Field Division. But then again surely Dallas would not complain vigorously if another Field Division were to intrude that blatantly on their territory.
By the way, that third gun pointed back at an FBI “employee” and as a result “disappeared”. Just like the front door from the Branch Davidian compound in Waco.

“as it was intended, take down a helicopter.”
Yep. I’ve already seen Low information types wondering out loud why people can buy weapons that are designed “specifically to shoot down helicopters”. All the while ignoring the fact that selling these rifles to drug lords is already illegal, and that it was OUR OWN GOVERNMENT that broke that law in this particular case.
This was exactly the point of Fast and Furious. It was quite brilliant really. Even the fact that it was exposed (although nobody seems to have been charged with anything) hasn’t stopped Fast and Furious from achieving it’s goals. In fact, I’m starting to wonder if that part wasn’t orchestrated also. Had it not had an ATF/Fast and Furious connection, do you really think a drug lord having a big rifle would have been all that news worthy?
