Wow, that escalated quickly. Good for Bane. The tent’s big enough for us all, but Petzal is doing no one any good with his comments.

This is like the current political arena. Old, calcified “experts” are preaching to the masses and are all butt hurt that they have become irrelevant and are being ignored. The masses are tired of being talked down to and told what to think and realize they are as smart, if not smarter than the “experts”.

@Wildbill: I’d turn that around and point out that there’s 50 “tactical experts” trash-talking “tactical” to every one of us old fogies who have forgotten more than they’ll ever know.
Or to put it another way, Internet forums are rampant with keyboard commandos who know nothing but tactical, and couldn’t hunt their way out of an outhouse if you left the door open. But that’s where the money is, so gun shows are all high-markup low quality “tactical”, profit first sellers.
I’m trying to remember who it was that wrote: “When I was young my old man didn’t know a damned thing. Twenty years later I was amazed at how much he’d learned in all those years.”

I like the comment someone left: “He went Full Metcalf. Never go Full Metcalf.” I went hunting this year for the first time and my Denitst has F&S in his lobby. I read it a few times but Hunting Magazines are like Fishing Lures, they catch more Fishermen than fish.
