If it’s a Gunnuts link and it’s hatin’ on Colonel Cooper, I don’t even have to click the link to know it’s by Caleb the Tactical Insurance Salesman and Coffee Ninja.
He gives Cooper the respect he deserves (which is plenty) – and calls him out on his prejudices and the simple age [and concomitant lack of relative evidence that we now have] of many of his observations.
Mindless devotion to Col. Cooper is, indeed, stupid.
Isn’t shooting like everything else? Search all respected sources, get some experience, try what fits and make your own ongoing conclusions to get better from what you learn.
Mindless devotion to anything or anyone is foolish, but then there is mindful understanding or discernment. Not the same thing.
Should the evolution of gun technology and shooting technique end with the death of one man? Of course not. That doesn’t mean he didn’t contribute a lot that can be of use for generations to come.
John Moses Browning and Jeff Cooper obviously have their places on a Mount Rushmore for gunnies. But who else belongs up there, or perhaps among the smaller memorials at the base of the mountain, or even in the parking lot outside the visitor center?

He ain’t even trollin’, honestly.

If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.

No, he’s hatin’. It’s not first time he’s done it.

He’s right. Too many people mindlessly regurgitate Cooperisms like they’re quoting the Prophet.
February 17th, 2016 at 6:45 pm
Yup. I don’t see a lot of them carrying 10mm tho.

There’s not a conflict here.

^^^That.

Nor is their a conflict between fact that Cooper’s views were not perfect and that Caleb is trolling. #Easyblogpost #Clickbait

He’s not totally wrong on Cooper worship; things change, evolve, improve, etc. But you know what they say about stopped clocks.
Still. Burn the little puke’s house down. Just on general principle, and to watch him run screaming like a little girl.

I’m hatin’ Gun Nuts for shoving a “subscribe” flag in my face. That’s encouraged me to ignore their site from now on.
February 18th, 2016 at 8:49 am
There is no source but Cooper and Gunsite is his messenger.

I lol that Kitebane or whatever is still carrying a torch of butthurt about something I wrote like three years ago.
I wish I could rent out all the space people give me in their heads, I’d be rich.

I don’t know if he’s trollin’ or hatin’, but he seems to share Col. Cooper’s fetish for Taft-era technology, but in a different caliber.
February 18th, 2016 at 11:48 am
Let him contemplate this on the tree of woe.

One obvious choice, mikee, would be Obammy. He has done more for gun ownership in this country than ANYBODY else.
February 18th, 2016 at 1:20 pm
mikee, well I’d say Sam Colt probably goes up there. If it can only be four it should probably be Sam Colt, Eugene Stoner, JMB, and Kalashnikov.

Don’t forget John C. Garand!
