No blog for you

Sorry, took a test today. My brain and reading comprehension are all out for today. So, here’s a suppressed SBR Mosin Nagant:

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

  2. Maxpwr Says:

You watched it. You can’t unwatch it.

Had a day full of pointless meetings, where people said the same things they said the last time we met. On the other hand, I’m flying to NYC tomorrow to see The Who (well, Daltrey, Townsend, and their current band, anyway) at Madison Square Garden, so this is still shaping up to be a good week.

  4. Mr Evilwrench Says:

I kinda like it. Been looking for an excuse to get a couple of Mosin Nagants.

  5. Lyle Says:

Ah, give ’em a break. They’re having fun and hittin’ stuff. I feel fortunate that I didn’t have Youtube when I first got into Bubba work on the SKS, because I’d never have lived it down. I have a Chinese SKS with adjustable stock, forward optic mount and a Cutts type compensator, all hand-made. That lead to the creation of a company that has sold millions of dollars worth of product and has a good reputation, but if you looked at it in isolation you’d have a raucous time poking fun at it.

Today’s dumb nerds are often tomorrow’s company CEOs, so I say; more power to the dumb nerds! What they do beats playing video games or surfing porn.

As Jesus once said; Blessed are they who are persecuted in my name (or something like that).

How many of you have short barreled ARs and think they’re the bee’s knees? Well that Mosin just happens to be a boltie, and it’ll smack a target with more authority.

  6. Fred Says:

But I do get soup! In your video that’s the guy who shot an AR till it caught fire and kept shooting, mad respect.

That mosin proves the old adage:
    You can’t polish a turd.

  8. JTC Says:

Nothing fugly ’bout that; I like it. And the dude too. A pawn brother to be proud of, unlike the freaks on teevee.

I have a Polish made M-44 variant, with the import mark as “T-44”. Manufactured in 1953, it was proof-fired, and immediately went into storage sans-cosmoline, and made it’s way to the U.S. some decades later.

When I bought it in 2004,I was the first “retail” owner of the carbine, and the first to fire a round through it since that first proof test.

The fit, finish and quality of this carbine absolutely rivals the finest commercial rifles on today’s market. The bluing is perfect, the underlying polish could’ve been on a Weatherby Mk-V. Wood to metal fit is worthy of a bespoke rifle.

It was (and is) in such “new” condition, that the individual wood-fibers were still able to be felt in the cartouches stamped into the stock. The trigger might has well come off of a National Match ’03 Springfield, it’s that good.

Even the folding bayonet is a perfectly finished work of art.

It reliably shoots 2″ groups, too.

I understand that these are damn near unicorns on the collector’s market, too. ‘Twas a lucky find!

Man, is that ever solving a non-problem.

    God bless it.

  11. emdfl Says:

I have three of the carbines – a Hunky, a Russian and a Romanian(?). Now I’m thinkin’ about a can and a Rock solid mount for one of them.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
