Politicized “research”
Medical journal editors make fools of themselves:
Leftist claims are so counter-factual that a political study is bound to require all sorts of distortions and evasions to make any case at all. And the political studies they do publish are so unscholarly that the editors have obviously put their brain into neutral before publishing them.

I wrote about that same study.
Besides the correlation ≠ causation argument, they’re attributing massive reductions in deaths to a law that doesn’t exist anywhere to be analyzed, and another that has shown to be an epic failure.
Agenda? What agenda?

I recall the famous 1993 Kellerman study of lifestyle choices, used to denounce gun ownership, in which living in an apartment instead of having a house & mortgage was about 6x more correlated to being shot, than having a gun in your home. Nobody called for bans on apartments.
This is more of the same. Hey, guess what? Honda Accords, the most popular car year after year in the US, are also the most often stolen cars. If we wanted to reduce Accord thefts, we could sell fewer of them, too.

It’s not like Lancet has done that before …. oh, wait. They have?
