Dispatch from the nanny state
Some Democrat (of course) wants to ban texting while walking. What the hell is wrong with these people? Tar and feathers now so it’s not heads on pikes later.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

“As a discussions of gun control come to light, more guns are sold.”

Pikes are a great deal more environmentally friendly. The tar has to be heated – consider all the BTUs expended accomplishing that – the effort required cleaning up errant feathers, not to mention the geese or ducks inconvenienced.
Pikes are simple, and reusable. I’d wager a well-made pike would serve quite well for a dozen or more community events, and if a group encounters the odd pike shortage (would that be the case!) a sharpened broomstick does well as a temporary substitute while the pike manufacturers catch up.

“…there should be a law in place to dissuade and penalize risky behavior.”
That tells us everything we need to know about Assemblywoman Lampitt.

But they want to make sure that all those people who are too dumb to text and walk at the same time get to vote.
