But I fear it may be. Gun lobby in Europe? It’s in Brussells, naturally. I wish them well.

Yeah we’re facing an up-hill battle. But the outrageous proposals from the European Commission (EC) (it seems mostly backed by France, with Italy and the UK) managed to get various gun owners association together as part of Firearms United which originated in Poland.

It is very interesting to see that Eastern countries are definitely the saner ones. I assume people there still have somewhat vivid memories of communist hell. While in the West the “boiling frog” theory is in full display.

What is sad is that even when the threat is spelled black on white in the EU draft proposal (ie: banning a lot of stuff) and that during hearings the EC hints that “high power rifles” (ie: Fudds’ bolt guns) are next, most gun owners will just do nothing.

While most readers here don’t need that kind of warning, keep in mind that this the end game if you don’t get involved.
Join the NRA, join your state organization. “Come out” as a gun owner, take people to the range, pick-up your phone and call your reps …
