Do you want Trump? Because this is how you get Trump
A student was harassed and written by campus police up for carrying a holster on campus. Here’s the video:
So, a precious snowflake reported that they were spooked over a holster. Ugh.

I’d be shocked if the same thing didn’t happen in Tuscaloosa. The snowflakes run this place, and the po-po has no sense of humor.
They have a no weapon policy, but I don’t think it covers knives. They’d have to arrest half the students, and most of the staff if they did.

This could go in his permanent record. Uh oh…

Since the cop in the video admits at 4:56 that the carrying of an empty holster does not violate the law or college rules, yet they write him up any way, and since this is a police officer, it seems to me that they knowingly violated his right to free speech under color of authority.
Seems that students for concealed carry could get this policy changed by filing a class action lawsuit against the campus police and the college.

I asked for a response from the university via social media and got this reply:
“The University issued this statement in response yesterday afternoon:
On April 13, 2016, at 11:41 a.m., the University of South Alabama Police Department received an anonymous report that a person in the Student Center may have been carrying an “unconcealed gun.” USAPD officers arrived at the location and, following an on-site interview with a student wearing an empty gun holster, issued a campus judicial citation to the student.
Upon further investigation, it has been determined that the citation should not have been issued and it has been rescinded. University Police are conducting an internal investigation of the matter.”

I once had an interaction with campus police involving being in a single gender dorm outside of visiting hours (yeah, it was decades ago, but they took it seriously then). My administrative hearing (mandatory meeting with Assistant Dean of Housing) resulted in a note in my file stating that if I repeated such an offense, “further measures would be taken.” Nothing “further” was specified.
That phrase has served me well in multiple cases ever since, wherein I had to discipline an employee for a minor infraction and we both knew it was a big nothing.
While I applaud the rescinding of the citation, a lawsuit is still necessary to prevent the snowflakes from trying to create an avalanche.

When the inferior man swings his old grandpa balls and is allowed the face of the protective class, the criminal class sit back admiring the invitation to the sheep.

“Written up” for what is essentially an article of clothing?

Oh, I completely forgot this was a college campus, where some people are threatened by fabric, leather or combinations thereof.
