Why we win

Our enemies are kinda stupid:

Rep. Deb Lavender, D-Kirkwood, might have accidentally strengthened a concealed carry law Wednesday afternoon, when she ran out of time to withdraw an amendment she offered that would open the state capitol to concealed carry for members of the public.

Several House Republicans laughed and clapped when Lavender ran out of time while closing the amendment, believing she intended to withdraw the amendment before her time ran out. Members quickly took to social media to rub in the victory.

Beautiful.

On a not-quite-related note, does anyone else find it perplexing how many states legislatures are embracing new gun rights & constitutional carry despite 8 years of democrat ass-hattery? Does anyone seriously believe we would have these successes if McCain or What’s-his-Face had won the White House? It’s like republicans can only find their balls when they’re out of power….

Hilarious. Dem introduces a “poison pill”. Pro-freedom legislators clap her on the back, and thank her for her new pro-freedom stance.

Now this is more like it. My only question is why it took a Democrat to offer this amendment, instead of a Republican?

Like Gov Bill Haslam here in Tennessee. When he ran for his first term, he promised Tennessee Firearms Association that he would support Constitutional Carry legislation which would be precisely, pursuant to the DECLARED RIGHT to carry weapons for self defense in the State Constitution. For now it is a PERMITTED, PAID PRIVILEGE, like the old “poll taxes” which demanded that black people pay to vote. Haslam uses his agents in House committees to “shoot down” legislation so that it is denied a full House vote.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
