For when you want to put five pounds of weight on the front of your rifle

Behold, the GripShot, putting a Serpa holster on your forward rail for a handgun:

I understand that it may be a bit faster. But it seems really impractical, too specifically focused, and derpy.

    But derp sells

And with the Taser varient, a guaranteed route to a fatal ND for a cop.

I just wanted to slap the guy in the foreground for his re-holstering technique as he stabbed his pistol in the general vicinity of the holster. Draw fast, reholster slow. Look at it if possible. I still don’t know of a time when you would have to quick undraw.

One hundred theoretical internet dollars to the first person to create a parody video of a drop-leg hanging off the handguard.

  4. Leatherwing Says:

It doesn’t show the gripshot being reholstered. I’m sure that’s a simple process.

Seems like a questionable solution desperately in search of an incredibly hypothetical problem.

Why would you want your pistol off your body? How many situations are there where you quickly need to transition, but you can’t rapidly draw the gun because there’s no fixed spacial relationship between your strong hand and the grip of your secondary weapon.

There’s a whole lot of nope in that video…

  6. John Says:

I thought the whole point of a handgun was to get you to your rifle.

  7. Sid Says:

    No. Hell no.

  8. Adam Says:

I don’t know of anyone who operates hard enough for that.

If I’m gonna attach a firearm to my rifle, it is gonna be another rifle. OK, maybe a shotgun, but definitely something more useful than a handgun.

And if I am going down that rabbit hole, I may as well pay for the vehicle mounted quad fifty right now.

  10. mikee Says:

OOOH! I forgot that in this imaginary setting I could mount a grenade launcher on my rifle. OK, first the grenade launcher, then another rifle, maybe a shotgun.

I’d swear this goofy thing made the rounds last year, but that may have been a knife.

    Oh well, somebody’ll buy it.

  12. Ron Says:

    Ha!

This is one of the reasons I love this industry – you get to see all kinds of things.

Since it’s mounted on the rifle, why not co-witness with the rifle sights to avoid all that silly drawing from the mount. Heck just mount on the left side (or attach it to your bayonet lug/rail and use it as a fore-grip.

    Stirring the pot, what fun.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
