Yep. And that somebitch was asking for money, pretending he had a shot, right up to the last day.
Trump paying him, I believe, is less likely than the Party making a deal with him so as to beat Cruz. Cruz is the one they hate first, with Trump coming in second on the hate list.
They consider Trump a joke and an embarrassment, but with Cruz it’s personal, plus an idealogical conservative is something the Party can NOT abide– that could be the end of their racket, whereas Trump will be a part of it. He’ll be an obnoxious part of the racket if he wins the general, and will make real trouble for them, but he’s still a part of it.
Sanders is playing on the ignorance of the millenials and college educated (without learning). It’s a regressive rehash back to the 30’s and 40’s when some thought socialism was the wave of the future. They even had an infuriation with good Ol’ Joe Stalin being a wonderful “social justice warrior”. Oh yes, he was a warrior who killed about 20+ million that couldn’t get with the program.

Stayed in just to deny Cruz the delegates. Shows you how much the establishment republicans hated Cruz, and who the real “outsider” was.

Quid pro quo? I wonder if Trump was paying Kasich to stay in until everyone else dropped out. I bet he gets at least an ambassadorship.

Yep – he was the foil to make sure a conservative couldn’t go one-on-one with Trump down the home stretch.

Is there an analogous explanation for Sanders, or is he just a bats#!t crazy old socialist?

Mikee, The older, crazier and bats#!tier they are, the more dangerous they become, like clinton.

I’m with Lyle, I think the GOPe kept him in to screw Cruz (and by extension all of us).
