Deadpool gun error
Amazon Video has a neat feature where if you hover over the computer screen, it will give you little tidbits of info about the movie you’re watching. I decided to use this feature while watching Deadpool (which is one of the greatest movies of all time, btw). And this error came up (click to embiggen):
Yup, only 12 bullets in a couple of Deagles. I caught that as well but I’m surprised whoever at Amazon video did. Also, throughout the movie, Deadpool never kept a gun chambered and always had to rack the slides. And he kept forgetting his ammo and guns. I’m guessing it was a way to save on CGI costs, since the movie was treated as the red-headed step child of the Marvel universe, and not really a plot point.

Agreed, Deadpool is the best movie of 2016. Funny and refreshing to see a superhero who isn’t gun shy or afraid to kill the badguy. Shame there is no way they’ll ever clean it up enough to put on TV (unless they schedule it for 11 pm on a school night).

Actually, the forgetfulness has always been a part of DP. Hell, most of his brain is scar tissue. He’s constantly forgetting to reload his weapons, and anything with batteries is a complete failure.
Note that he has a teleportation device… that runs on batteries. His spaceship (The Bea Arthur) constantly runs out of fuel. He usually blames someone else (like blaming Weasel for recharging his iPod off the teleporter.) If Blind Al didn’t do his laundry he would always have chili and pancake syrup stains all over his costume.

And it’s entirely within character for him to have double tapped someone earlier (at one of his many massacres) and never reloaded the one bullet from each gun.

“And he kept forgetting his ammo and guns.”
He kept forgetting his ammo and guns because they had their budget cut. This lead to them removing two entire shootouts from the movie. Oops ‘Pool forgot his guns or his bullets. Now he has to do things quick because he knows he can’t do the big running motorcycle chase scene that they cut. Or the big shootout with the mooks at the end.

I’ve got to brag a bit, that data comes from http://www.imdb.com – We’re an Amazon company and Amazon integrates our data into their video products.

“If Blind Al didn’t do his laundry he would always have chili and pancake syrup stains all over his costume.”
Like you could even tell – there’s more than one reason to wear a red suit! :V

Losing shit is part of the shtick with that character.
Don’t know if budget was an issue this time around, but pretty sure it won’t next time. Dead Pool made serious bank.
I’d be really disappointed if they go all-in for the expensive effects in DPII. It’d ruin the value of the movie: Dead Pool. Ignore that and they end up with Batman in tighter tights.
