Got my first carry gun back
Way back, I purchased a handgun. When I got my carry permit, this was the gun that I first carried. And I carried it for a long time. Then, one day, I needed money for graduate school. So, I sold it. And I sold it to my dad. Anyway, I had an AR-15 he wanted so I managed to get it back:
It’s very early Sig Sauer P229 in 9mm. I’ve missed that gun. More notably, I missed those sights.
So, hivemind, what I dot sights do you recommend for M&P pistols that are not XS big dots.

I highly recommend Trijicon HDs. Had a set on my SIG P228 for about eighteen months (before I foolishly traded the gun away). Major improvement over the factory sights in terms of visibility and ease of acquisition, but without compromising accuracy.

TruGlo TFO sights. They are Tritium sights for night use, and Fiber Optic sights for daytime use.
They are available in yellow, orange, or green. I love mine. Brownell’s has them for $100.

I have a set of TruGlo TFX sights on my G43. They work really well, only draw back is there pricey at $133. No regrets, glad I got them.

Have you considered just ordering the SigLite night sights?

Just installed Ameriglo Spartan Operator night sights on my M&P. Best I’ve used… highly recommended.

XS little dots. Duh. Those are fine. But there are plenty of just as goods.
Big wide 10-8 rear sights. But I like a bit of room in the gap of the rear sight for the front post to lie in. That’s me. Sounds like you like the rear sight on what you got.

Trijicon HDs or Ameriglo Idot Pros. I prefer the latter.

You never forget your first … but I’m not sure I’d want “every” first back.
