Why go rinky dink mid-bore? Wouldn’t .45 Colt be a better choice, since we’re going subsonic, and relying on lead instead of velocity? Besides, .45 Colt is more lever-action, and more cowboy, than the more urbane .357 Magnum.
Of course, I’m more .44 Mag/.44 Special myself, but for this particular gun, I think .45 Colt might be the best choice, since we are going subsonic for the suppressor. Put a big ol’ chunk of lead in there, and let it quietly do its job.
