Gun Porn
First, we had a Deadpool holster. Now, it’s Deadpool’s gun.
This is probably the single dumbest shooting incident I’ve ever read about. The guy did exactly every thing wrong. I mean, he couldn’t have done it more brazenly if he was trying to go to prison.
Now that Shooting Illustrated is one of the NRA flagship publications, I, as a life member, get one shipped to my house every month. I hadn’t really gotten an actual, physical gun magazine in a long time. And I guess you miss a lot when you don’t see the latest gun advertisements in those magazines. I’d never heard of the 7.5 FK BRNO until recently. Quite a lot of claims about the caliber which, if true, would make it pretty impressive. But at, reportedly, $5K for a gun that shoots it, it will be a tough sell.
Via Tam, I don’t think the shoe top barrel rest is worth a case of the vapors. But I don’t think they’re a good idea either.
I’m saddened to hear of his passing. He and I didn’t always agree regarding strategy for gun rights. But I never once doubted his commitment. He and I met in real life a couple of times at NRA meetings. He was nothing but nice to me.
Rest in peace.
Well, they also ran guns into Mexico. So, this doesn’t surprise me.
So, some guy thinks that requiring a PIN to operate a Glock is a good idea:
Well, when the police and military adopt them, I’ll be convinced.
Straight outta Kansas. I’m only familiar with the dark web stuff as much as what I read about it online. But I suppose some people think that would be a thing to use for such a thing.
A 73-year-old retired librarian playacting as a victim in a “shoot/don’t shoot” exercise at a Florida police community event was shot and killed Tuesday night by an officer who mistakenly fired live ammunition instead of blank rounds, according to Punta Gorda, Fla., police.
You didn’t have a SIRT or a blue gun?
Rule one shouldn’t be so literal. I mean, if all guns were always loaded, I’d never have to reload. And think of the money I’d save on ammo!
Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know
Now, as is spun in the press, it’s entirely possible he means that gun rights people may go and try to shoot Hillary after the election. I’m “second amendment people” and I’ve not gotten the urge to go get the best caliber for cankle, so it’s not effectively working on me. Or, even more probably, he meant that the lobbying, legislative, and judicial arm of the gun rights movement may kick it into gear to do something about it in the courts or legislatively.
But he’s such an inarticulate buffoon, a reasonable person can’t tell what he means based on his own words.
*tactical facepalm*
Bill on how he votes. I’m the same way. I voted against every incumbent on the ballot. If they were unopposed, I didn’t vote. And I voted not to retain a single judge.
If you want to vote the bums out, you need to start with your own bums.
Story here. And here’s video:
Doesn’t look like it recoils enough to simulate an actual gun and it’s design doesn’t resemble any common gun. But a modified version could make for a decent training simulator. Otherwise, it looks like just a fun toy.
Richard Mann has a look at some numbers on how common pistol cartridges perform in terms of penetration and expansion.
That’s what some paper from where Great Britain used to be says they call the XM-25. I’d never heard that term but if it’s on Wikipedia, it must be true.
A pretty good video:
There are several others. I liked that they donated significant time to the fact that guns are really, really, really loud.
Free shipping from Apex Tactical. Do recommend. I have five various M&P pistols and only one (the M&P22) don’t have something from Apex in them.
One of the 68 firearms discovered in carry-on bags this week was a printed firearm. It was assembled with parts made from a 3D printer. While it was a realistic replica, it was loaded with live ammunition. This was a good catch from the TSA team at Reno (RNO)! While firearms are permitted in checked baggage, we strongly suggest making yourself familiar with local laws prior to flying with a printed firearm.
I wonder what the story is on that?
So, it was just a coincidence that Iran released hostages the exact same day that the US hand delivered $400,000,000 in different currencies to them. In cash. Iran says it was a ransom. One of the hostages said they weren’t to be released until Iran got its money. No wonder they’re asking for more money. And Iran has taken more hostages since.
It’s probably illegal for the US government to pay ransoms to terrorists. And it’s likely illegal that the administration essentially laundered $400M.
In other Iran news, a scientist named in Clinton’s emails was executed.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
