This makes much more sense than some who say Trump isn’t conservative enough but then endorse Clinton. Many “useful idiot ” supposed liberals support Clinton even though she is an authoritarian fascist.

The article fails to address the fact that “shooting to wound” would be a defacto admission that the officer didn’t feel his life was in danger, and thus would make it illegal for him to shoot at all.

When someone asks, “Why didn’t the (cop, homeowner, etc.) shoot him in the leg?”, my response is typically along the lines of. “Well, leaving him to bleed out in the gutter from a severed artery sounds pretty harsh to me, but I guess you’re OK with that sort of thing”.

Having seen Facebook threads on this, my impression is that lots of people watch too much TV and movies,and thus think shooting people in the leg or arm or shooting a weapon out of their hand is Totally Something Plausible…
