Wouldn’t knocking be easier?

Well, this would seem embarrassing:

I wonder what caused the door to do that?

    This is my guess:

A Door Devil frame would give you similar results, and be easier to deal with, too. The satisfaction of stomping that bolt into place is nice, though.

Joe Bob says check it out.

MY buddy has one of these https://www.amazon.com/Nightlock-Security-Barricade-Brushed-Nickel/dp/B007Y7PVLK/ref=pd_sbs_421_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P0CCAZK2DFBDC9F77W42 I’m pretty sure it would cause the observed behavior.

A 2×4 nailed to the floor works as well.

  4. Lyle Says:

    Bungee cords?

Someone fail to pay a parking ticket, or what?

  5. mariner Says:

Maybe he had an overdue library book.

  6. WallPhone Says:

Door? I want to install a treadmill front porch. Double duty use for vacuum salesmen.

  7. Ron W Says:

They sure spent quite a bit of time exposed in front of that door. If someone was on the inside with say a semi auto .308, or even a bolt action, seems there would’ve been two, maybe three ( one sitting in vehicle) dead SWAT team members.

  8. SPQR Says:

It looked to me that the porch was icy, so the breacher had no solid footing in addition to whatever was blocking the door.

  9. RC Says:

Kind of puts the lie to the need for a tactical breach in this case. They stood around for how many minutes trying to breach with no hostile response from the residents?

Maybe they should have tried knocking first, buncha’ jugheads.

  10. Michael Says:

So, leaving the whole door thing aside; after it was open, why all the milling about and waiting? Why not enter? And is leaving your tactical-operator SBR leaning against the building, just around the corner SOP?

  11. Weer'd Beard Says:

They make security doors where the locking bar turns a deadbolt both into the strike plate and the top and the bottom of the door frame. That’s what it looks like, they broke the deadbolt first (tho probably not on the first try because the door is so stiff when buttoned up) then the bottom mortise shattered, and when the top one let go, the keystone Koss were in!

Somebody needs to run this video through a sepia filter, and replace the soundtrack with a player piano.

  12. Patrick Says:

“Slip ‘N Slide” Doormat, for the win.

The only thing to make this video better would be an 8-year old going over to play with that unattended rifle while the “tactical” team diddled with their tools next door.

Sending this to all my cop friends.

  13. Tam Says:

A dresser had been slid down the foyer stairs and was blocking the door.

That, however, was the least of their problems.

  14. Tam Says:

Or sofa. I can’t remember now if it was a dresser or sofa.

We can’t win the war on drugs unless we arm the police like an occupying force and send them to do this to our neighbors. Someone could’ve been sitting in their living room smoking a joint after work, for God’s sake! How can society continue if we allow other people to do things that could be harmful to themselves? BAN ALL THE THINGS!!! Or maybe police could just arrest violent people and let people make bad decisions.

I was waiting for the homeowner to use the interior garage door opener switch to recover the M4 someone left on the doorstep…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
