He didn’t design a “sporting arm.” The NRA might beatify him, though.

Actually, I don’t thinks it’s because of the “sporting arm”. I think it’s because if this catches on, it will seriously interfere with firearm manufacturers profits. Especially once 3D metal printers become less expensive.

Probably more because he’s a loose cannon who’s provoking a potential backlash that’s going to screw home builders if the issue gets enough attention and lawmakers and bureaucrats start reflexively doing what they are wont to do to scary new technologies.
There are some things we do in the community that fly under the radar, and it’s good that they fly under the radar. This is one of them.
